VERON 144 MHz Telegrafie contest op 2 en 3 november 2019

Komend weekend wordt de VERON 144 MHz Telegrafie contest gehouden. Gelijktijdig wordt in heel Europa ook de door de ARI georganiseerde 47th Marconi Memorial Contest VHF IARU Region 1 contest gehouden. Dit staat garant voor voldoende activiteit tussen ongeveer 144.030 en 144.150 MHz.

De radiowedstrijd start op zaterdag 2 november om 14:00 UTC en stopt op zondag 3 november om 14:00 UTC. Alleen verbindingen gemaakt op de 144 MHz band in de mode Telegrafie tellen meer voor de contest.
Voor een geldige verbinding dient te worden uitgewisseld de beide roepnamen, het rapport, volgnummer en de maidenhead qth locator. Bv 599 001 JO21QK.

Iedereen wordt uitgenodigd om mee te doen. Je kan deelnemen door het log binnen 14 dagen na de wedstrijd te uploaden bij de Contestrobot. Alle ontvangen logs worden automatisch door de contestmanager doorgestuurd naar de ARI.

Om 12:03 UTC op donderdag 17 oktober is op de downlink 145,800 MHZ, in FM, een schoolcontact te beluisteren. Dit keer tussen Luca Parmitamo in ISS en de school Science & Technologie e.V. / event: Science Days, Teningen, in Duitsland. De spreektaal is hierbij engels. Het grondstation op de school werkt onder de roepletters van DN1EME.

School Information:

Science Days

The Science Days is the first German science festival, which was founded in 2001.  Around 15.000 students of different school levels attend this science festival every year.   The Science Days are located in Germany’s biggest family park “Europa-Park” in Rust and are organized by Science & Technologie e.V., a non-profit organization.

GHSE School

The questions for the contact come from students of GHSE. GHSE stands for “Gewerbliche und Hauswirtschaftlich-Sozialpflegerische Schulen Emmendingen” in Germany and offers education with a special vocational focus on industry, ecotrophology as well as applied social sciences.  The industry-focused part of the school was already founded in 1836 and has since been evolving into a wide variety of educational directions for all sorts of students with all kinds of different talents and interests. Our campus includes a large workshop-area.  GHSE offers educational qualification ranging from a “Hauptschulabschluss” (certificate of secondary education) up to the “Abitur” (general qualification for university entrance) and is also a vocational college within the German dual education system.  There are currently around 2100 enrolled students at GHSE. 45% of them attend the “Berufsschule” (vocational college).   Around 16% are found in the applied social sciences field. The rest is distributed
among other areas such as care-giving, information technology, management, mechatronics and several other fields.

17. Lukas: What do you do in order to prevent injuries and what medical equipment do you use in the case of an emergency?

Op zaterdag 19 oktober om 10.27 UTC valt er weer een schoolcontact te beluisteren tussen Luca Parmitano, aan boord van ISS, en 2 Italiaanse scholen in Campolongo Maggiore and Ladispoli.

De downlink van ISS is hier in Nederland voor een deel van de uitzending goed te ontvangen op 145,800 MHz (+/- doppler). Het contact wordt in het italiaans gehouden.

School Information:

Istituto Comprensivo Statale “Diego Valeri”

The Institute is located in the province of Venice on the border with that of Padua. It is a municipality with a very large territory and is covered, scholastically, by a school for children, three plexuses of primary school and two middle schools.
The Institute boasts the best musical laboratory in Italy and almost all of the students are able, not only to engage in the study of a musical instrument and to read music but also to play in an orchestra.
The students involved are middle school pupils with ages between 12 and 14 years.

Istituto Comprensivo Ladispoli1

The I.C.Ladispoli1 is one of the four Institutes including Ladispoli, a metropolitan city of capital Rome26 teachers work in the Infancy school; school time is 25 hours weekly for the reduced-time sections (8.05-13.05) and 40 hours per week for all the other sections in normal time (8.05-16.05).
83 teachers work in the Primary School; school time is 25 hours per week for the normal time sections (8.05-13.05) and 40 hours per week for all the others full-time sections (8.05-16.05).The Secondary Secondary School is still “young”, but growing: it is composed of the classes of classes A and B.
The project will affect the pupils of the first grade secondary school classes, first, second and third classes. The alumni are aged between 11 and 13 years.
